COVID-19 Safety Information

For those who can join us, the AAHS, ASPN, ASRM Annual Meetings will continue to be held in person at the Omni La Costa Resort in Carlsbad, California. The following safety protocols will be in place for the duration of our programs.

The Omni La Costa Resort is a sprawling property and sleeping rooms in bungalow buildings with no more than three floors and accessible by stairs. Attendees will be able to navigate the property easily while practicing social distancing and avoiding confined spaces.

The state of California has a mask mandate in place, and many restaurants and public spaces are requiring proof of vaccination to enter. Please refer to the California COVID-19 website at the following link to access additional information and guidelines. COVID19.CA.GOV and International Air Travel Information.

The health and safety of AAHS members, attendees, industry partners, staff, and guests, is our highest priority. To ensure health and safety best practices are in place to keep our community safe, AAHS is requiring all meeting attendees who are eligible for vaccination be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 consistent with guidelines published by the U.S. Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

While participating in the AAHS 2022 Annual Meeting, we remind all attendees and their guests that, depending on the course of the COVID-19 pandemic, social-distancing and mask-wearing may be required in the meeting space, social events, and in public areas of the Omni La Costa Hotel. AAHS will abide by the most current World Health Organization, U.S. Center for Disease Control, state of California, and local and Omni safety guidelines which are continually evolving as the situation with the virus changes. Despite the many safety precautions in place, you may still become exposed to and/or contract COVID-19. Your participation in the AAHS Annual Meeting at the Omni La Costa Hotel in Carlsbad, California is voluntary.

Effective December 15 2021: Per revised CDC recommendations, the state of California announced a new local health ordnance that requires all individuals, including those fully vaccinated, to wear a mask in public indoor settings. Attendees, exhibitors, vendors, staff, and guests will be required to wear a mask while attending all activities at the AAHS 2022 Annual Meeting.

AAHS is implementing the strictest safety precautions possible to keep meeting attendees safe and looks forward to hosting an outstanding reunion of the hand care community in January 2022. Your personal commitment to adhering to all safety policies is imperative to the health and wellbeing of others attending the AAHS Annual Meeting. Thank you!
