Job Title: Assistant/Associate Professor of Plastic Surgery
Date Available: August 1, 2023 (or earlier if available)
Location: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
Description: The Department of Plastic Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) and the University of Pittsburgh is recruiting a plastic surgeon at the assistant/associate level with clinical and research interests in hand surgery and microsurgery. This position offers the opportunity to join a thriving academic, clinical and research department with a residency training program. The practice profile would include a mix of elective hand surgery, hand trauma, and general complex reconstructive surgery in a Level 1 trauma center.

This individual would join an established plastic surgery hand and general reconstruction team based at an academic tertiary care facility and engage in all aspects of academic surgery, including clinical care, teaching learners of all levels, clinical research, and service for the department, the institution, and regional/national societies. The ideal candidate must hold an M.D. and hold or be eligible for a CAQ in hand surgery.

We seek an outstanding candidate who has a demonstrated track record of clinical excellence as well as academic productivity. Candidates with a strong background in reconstructive surgery are encouraged to apply.
