Job Title: Hand Surgery Position with Sparrow Medical Group in Partnership with the University of Michigan (Michigan Medicine)
Date Available: Immediately
Location: Lansing, Michigan
Sparrow Medical Group (SMG), a multispecialty physician group and the premier physician organization of Sparrow Health System (SHS), in partnership with the University of Michigan (MM) Section of Plastic Surgery, is seeking two full-time, dynamic Hand Surgeons to practice in Lansing, Michigan. SMG is committed to improving access to medical care across the Mid-Michigan region.
  • Six physician practice
    o Two general plastic surgeons
    o Two CAQ hand surgeons
    o Two microsurgeons
  • Level 1 Trauma Center

    Required qualifications include an M.D. or D.O., successful completion of an approved Plastic Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, or General Surgery residency program, a Fellowship in Hand Surgery, board eligible/certified in Plastic Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, or General Surgery, CAQ or CAQ eligible in Hand Surgery, and hold or have the ability to obtain the appropriate medical licenses in the state of Michigan. Evidence of clinical competence is expected.

    Qualified applicants may be considered for a faculty position with Michigan Medicine combined with a clinical appointment with Sparrow Medical Group. Candidates for faculty positions will satisfy the criteria to be appointed as a faculty member with demonstrated excellence in all aspects of the Michigan Medicine tripartite mission of clinical care, teaching, and research and will show exceptional promise in academic pursuits and a proven track record in research. Adjunct faculty positions may also be available to qualified applicants.
