The Cleveland Clinic Florida Orthopaedic and Rheumatologic Institute is currently seeking a Center Director, Orthopaedics and Rheumatology at our Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital located in Vero Beach, FL.

Vero Beach and the community of Indian River county is serviced by CC Indian River Hospital, and is now staffed by our new and growing Orthopaedic Surgery group practice, and the only local Rheumatology group. Over 60% of the local primary care market are part of our employed group. Two independent orthopaedic surgery groups are affiliated with our hospital in an open staffing model.

The Center Director participates in the professional growth and development of the Orthopaedic and Rheumatology physicians practicing at Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital; developing relationships with independent physicians; developing collaborations and program development within Cleveland Clinic Florida Region; and be an on-site presence of leadership for the medical staff within this Center. The successful candidate will be expected to develop working knowledge of the Orthopaedic and Rheumatology programming effort of the Cleveland Clinic both in Cleveland and the Florida region and align with programming metrics, collaborate with care path development and develop and implement musculoskeletal disease and surgical treatment best practices at Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital.

It is expected that the Center Director will work with Regional Leadership to develop educational and training programs for Orthopaedic Surgery and clinical research opportunities at Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital. The Center Director will work with Regional and Hospital Executive Teams to grow the service lines by developing new programs, bring new treatment and technology to the community and recruitment of new staff.

Candidates must be board certified in Orthopaedic Surgery with skills and expertise in Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery. Candidates must have completed a Hand Surgery fellowship and be committed to excellence in patient care. Additionally, the successful candidates must be proficient to take general orthopaedic call for emergency care that cannot be electively transferred to another provider, and for the emergency and elective care for routine and complex upper extremity care. .
