Hand Surgery Oral Boards Prep Course
at the AAHS Annual Meeting

This is your chance to show off your skills while you stand tall supporting your decisions in a mock oral board. If you are interested, please submit a hand surgery case in which you served as the primary surgeon or assistant. The case submission should include a brief (1-2 paragraph) vignette explaining the clinical history, intra-operative management, and post-operative outcome.

The course directors will select the most instructive cases for the course oral boards-style presentation. If selected, the participant will present the case in an oral board examination format with questions asked by a panel of experienced faculty "Board examiners." The faculty will provide salient tips and pearls to help you shine through your real oral board examination. In order to submit a case for presentation, enrollees must be surgeons having completed, or planning to complete their hand fellowship in 2022, 2023, 2024, or 2025. AAHS members, candidate members and non-members welcome. The participant who presents the best case will receive complimentary registration to the 2024 AAHS Annual Meeting.

Case Submission:
The case submission should include a 1-2 paragraph vignette with the following headings: history, surgical management, post-operative complications (if any), final outcome. Please submit supporting x-rays or other images if needed to better illustrate your case.
