Job Title: Plastic Hand Fellowship Program

Description: The University of Miami Miller School of Medicine/Jackson Memorial Hospital, Division of Plastic Surgery Hand Fellowship Program has an opening for one fellow starting August 1st, 2018. This is a one-year ACGME accredited Hand Fellowship for the academic year starting August 1st, 2018 and ending July 31st, 2019.

The Hand Fellowship is a broad based clinical experience. Through a variety of clinical sites, the fellow will obtain a comprehensive education in soft tissue reconstruction, joint replacement, reconstructive microsurgery, fracture management, compression syndromes, nerve repair, and pediatric and congenital hand. Fellow will spend 10 months on the UM Plastic Surgery Hand Service and two months on the JMH Orthopedic Hand Service. This latter rotation allows the fellow to gain a vast clinical experience in acute upper extremity trauma.

The fellow has 20 daysí paid vacation and opportunity for research. Benefits also include an educational stipend, a meal allowance as well as discounted parking. Applicants MUST have completed a residency and be board eligible in either general surgery, plastic surgery, or orthopedics.
